Cookies, Cookies, Cookies…
Dear Savages,
Who doesn’t love Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies? These cookies are a big hit in our house. They are quick and easy to make and turn any afternoon lull around.
Honestly, I am not much of a baker but I have always loved chocolate chip cookies! I can remember baking cookies with my sister when we were little. She is very creative and would just make up recipes, some cookies turned out amazing, and some, well, not so great. One thing we always agreed not to mess with was the chocolate chip cookie recipe.
I have been making a lot of sourdough bread recently so I decided to switch out regular flour in my cookies for the bread flour, and it was a success! You will find that the consistency of the cookie remains the same, but the cookies are chewier.
Since I am not much of a baker I love any recipe where I get to pull out and use my Kitchen-Aid Mixer. If you don’t have one there is so much you can do with them depending on the attachments you have or get. You can grind meat, make ice cream, slice/shred vegetables & cheese, make pasta, use it to process food, as a grain mill, or even use it as a juicer. So many fun options to explore!
Enjoy your cookies!
From my kitchen to yours,
Jen
